Parallel to the main exhibition, the first China International Ceramics Products Exhibition will also be held during the four day period.
Organised by the China Building Materials Federation, China Building Ceramics and Sanitary wear association, and CCPIT Building Materials Sub-Council/ Beijing Building materials, the exhibition will be held in an area of 100,000 sqm and will house 1,000 exhibitors, 60,000 professional visitors, and showcase 5,000 mechanical equipments.
With the intention of luring Lankan companies to the much awaited fair, top official of the organising bodies of the exhibition were in Colombo last week to promote the event.
During the event CCPIT Building Materials Sub-Council Vice President Dia Min You asserted that Ceramics China 2014 will be of great value to the local ceramics companies.
“Companies from Sri Lanka attending the exhibition will be exposed to the latest technologies and processes used in the ceramics industry. With China being one of the major contributors to the global ceramic production, there will be a lot to learn,” he added,
Centre for Technical Excellence in Ceramics (CENTEC), the local promoter of the event, shared that the exhibition is already popular in Sri Lanka since for nearly 12 years, local companies have been attending the same.
CENTEC Chairman Mahendra Jayasekara noted that last year over 50 professionals representing about 30 companies attended the Ceramics China 2013. This year, CENTEC hopes a higher number would participate.
He stated that the exhibition targets three segments which are, importers of ceramic materials, manufacturers, and supplying agents as the event will be most beneficial to such groups.
CENTEC being the local promoter of the event shared this time it has requested the CCPIT to come up with an all inclusive package for Lankan companies that would be cost effective.
