The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka is organising a seminar to discuss the current electricity crisis in Sri Lanka.
The discussion will cover the current electricity crisis in Sri Lanka, the historical perspectives, lessons learnt and the possible way forward for establishing a stable electricity supply system in Sri Lanka.
Topics such as ‘Sri Lanka’s Power Generation – Past, present and future,’ ‘How the stakeholders should work together to ensure crisis free electricity supply in Sri Lanka,’ and ‘Renewable Energy, a solution? Lessor knows issues,’ will also come under discussion.
Ceylon Chamber of Commerce CEO Dhara Wijayatilake, PUCSL CEO Damitha Kumarasinghe, PUCSL Consultative Committee Chairman Dr. Jayantha Ranatunga, CEB Chairman Anura Wijayapala and Energy Consultant Dr. Thilak Siyambalapitiya will take part as the resource persons of the seminar.
The seminar, which is to be held on Monday 25 April at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, starting at 2 p.m. will be moderated by Tourist Hotels Association of Sri Lanka Past President Srilal Miththapala. Interested participants can register for the seminar by calling 0115588852.
