The program launched by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Norway based Fair Deal AS, a globally spread import sourcing arm to help Lankan importers buy goods at factory cost, has got into a steady start with several importers already sourcing goods under this program.

The program within a year’s time has managed to offer its services to several Sri Lankan firms, including one of the largest E-Commerce sites operating in the country, a large scale coconut based product manufacturer and also several big hardware importers. Several other companies are also discussing to enter the program.

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Fair Deal AS, Norway started this program one year back to facilitate the importers in the sourcing process. The main objective of the program is to cut down intermediaries in the value chain and help them source finished products and raw materials directly from the ‘source’ at factory prices.

Fair Deal AS is AAA+ rated company located in Grimstad, Norway, having branch offices in China, India, South Africa and other Baltic countries working closely with manufacturers. The ongoing Ceylon Chamber and Fair Deal AS program help importers to lower possible risks in product quality, delivery time, culture and language and also cost.
