Central Industries adopts PE technology to make water-pipes

Central industries PLC, the renowned manufacturer of pipes and fittings, recently ventured into the latest technology of portable water distribution utilising PE (Polyethylene) technology to produce water pipes for the National Water Supply and Drainage Board. The first batch of more than 18 kilometers of PE water pipes was delivered to the National Water Supply and Drainage Board recently. PE water pipes, which display greater flexibility and ease of installation, are used by most developed countries at present to distribute drinking water. Central Industries plans to add more PE products to its product portfolio in the coming years. Central industries Plc was the first company to receive SLS 147 and SLS 659 standards for PVC water-pipes and PVC fittings in the country and was also the first to receive ISO 9001:2008 certifications.
