The ‘Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2015’, an annual event organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, will be held on 4 and 5 August at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo, under the title of ‘Towards Exports of $ 50 billion’.
The upcoming Summit, which is conducted for the 15th consecutive year since its inauguration in 2000, will consists of eight sessions, covering the most important economic sectors of the country with Government policymakers, top economists, sector based professionals, both from the public and the private sector, political leaders and academics joining as resource persons.
During the two-day event, the planned eight sessions will focus on areas such as ‘National Vision: Policy Implementation and Perspective,’ ‘A New Global Economic Strategy for Sri Lanka’, ‘Driving Exports – Use of Social Media and Technology’, ‘Challenges In and Opportunities For Financing of Exports’, ‘Championing Value Addition in Agri Exports’, ‘Sustainability Led Export Growth’, ‘Going Up the Value Chain – Export of Knowledge Services’ and will conclude with a CEOs’ forum.
The event which has been hugely successful over the years is expected to see the participation of over 400 top rung corporate executives and also participation of officials from the public sector, NGOs, donor agencies and other social groups in the country.
‘Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2015’, the flagship event of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is conducted annually and is continuing to grow in success year by year.
