Leading professional figures from diverse sectors will come together to share their thoughts on at an interactive seminar on the liberalisation of professional services on 22 June.
The seminar titled ‘Liberalisation of Professional Services, Challenges & Opportunities, Risks & Safeguards’ will feature a keynote speech by Dr. Saman Kelegama, Executive Director of the Institute of Policy Studies of Sri Lanka, while professionals from the fields of accounting, law, and medicine will further complement the interactive seminar by sharing their thoughts on the subject.
The resource panel will comprise of Arjuna Herath, President of CA Sri Lanka, Saliya Pieris, Deputy President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, Reyaz Mihular, Managing Partner of KPMG, and Dr. Ruvaiz Haniffa, Immediate Past Secretary of Sri Lanka Medical Association, while Ranel Wijesinha, Past President of CA Sri Lanka, and the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants, who is also the Founder of the Thought Leadership Forum, will be the moderator.
The seminar, which will be held at CA Sri Lanka, Colombo 7, will shed important insight on the progress and the future outlook of the liberalisation of professional services in Sri Lanka, along with the prevalent challenges, opportunities, risks and safeguards in the current context.
The interactive seminar is open for representatives of professional and business communities, members of the organisation of professional associations, chambers of commerce, and government departments.
This is organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka), in association with the Thought Leadership Forum.
