The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and INSEAD kicked off their Global Leadership Program on Tuesday.
The ceremony was a precursor to a four day program commencing on 14 March and concluding on 17 March. The program will be conducted by Professor Thomas Mannarelli, a world renowned Professor of Leadership and Organisational Behaviour from the faculty of INSEAD Business School.
Prof Mannarelli holds a PhD from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkley, and a B.S in Business Administration from Indiana University. He is a specialist in issues relating to creativity, innovation and leadership, and has an impressive portfolio, including consulting for large global corporations such as Standard Chartered Bank, Glaxo-Smith Kline, Shell, Nissan, ABN AMRO, Philip Morris, Visa, Singtel, Adidas, IBM and the Chartered Accountants of Ireland.
INSEAD is a Europe based international business school, with campuses in France, Asia and Abu Dhabi, and a research centre in Israel. It has Faculty members from more than 36 countries, more than 1,000 participants in MBA, Executive MBA and PhD programs, and more than 9,500 executives participating in executive education programs.
The Global Leadership Program, aimed at professionals and business leaders, will see an array of topics aimed at enhancing leadership qualities.
The topics covered will include Vision and leadership transition, creative and “out of the box” thinking, influence without authority, leading organisational change, leading high performance teams, decision making under uncertainty, negotiation dynamics, and influencing change.
CA Sri Lanka has two more events planned for later this year, including a program concerning strategy.
