British High Commissioner visits AB Mauri Lanka

British High Commissioner Dr. Peter Hayes on Thursday visited AB Mauri Lanka, a fully owned sub subsidiary of Associated British Foods, UK, which is a diversified international food, ingredients and retail group with sales of US$ l5 billion and 96,000 employees in 44 countries.



During the visit AB Mauri Lannka Managing Director S.B.M. Padmasiri took the opportunity to discuss details of the Company’s current business operation, future plans and the ABF future investments in Sri Lanka with Dr. Hayes.

The ABF Group operates through four strategic business segments such as sugar and agriculture, retail, grocery and ingredients.

ABF Ingredients is a group of companies focusing on high value ingredients such as enzymes, yeast, yeast extract, specialty lipids, emulsifiers, cereals specialties and protein food and non food applications.

AB Mauri Lanka is a distribution and marketing company of food products, primarily bakery ingredients. It is the undisputed market leader in the bakery ingredients business in Sri Lanka.

The company markets products under popular brands Mauripan, Mauri, Prime, Fermipan, Simas, Amanda, etc.
