Biz Chamber of Commerce hails UNF victory

The Business Chamber of Commerce in a statement has extended its warmest congratulations to the United National Front for winning the general elections.

The United National Front being a progressive democratic force will have a clear vision and policy designed to steer this nation on the path of free enterprise. The private sector which this chamber represents has complete confidence in the new government’s ability to bring progress, the statement said.

“Our chamber is full of hope that the Government will launch a cohesive program of economic advancement with emphasis on coordination and cooperation with the private sector and institutions such as Chambers of Commerce, which act as catalysts of growth,” said the statement issued by the President S.A. Gulamhusein.

The Business Chamber of Commerce is reiterating its confidence on the vision and ability of the Prime Minister and his team of Cabinet Members, a blend of youth and professionalism, to take this island nation towards new frontiers of economic resurgence within a framework of transparency and good governance.
