Asian Paints Lanka has launched an all-new, first-of-its-kind colour guide in the local market, recognising that in a world preoccupied with harmony, combining colour in decor has become a key area of focus.

Dedicated to interior colour combinations rather than individual colours, the new Royale Combination Guide (RCG) invites the buyer of paint to discover 70 colour combinations that can define and give character to any space and influence moods and emotions.

This colour guide features 10 colour families -- Pink, Orange, Red, Yellow, Yellow-Green, Violet, Blue, Blue-Green, Brown, and Grey, and seven unique combinations for each colour family, with each combination comprising of three shades.

Two colours of each combination are recommended for adjacent surfaces like walls, beams, columns or niches, while the third colour is for the rest of the room and/or the ceiling.

Each section of the guide is dedicated to an individual colour family and includes brief descriptions of shades with photographs of interior spaces painted in different combinations. It illustrates how the setting of the same room can be made to look different by using different colour tones of the same colour family. Joseph L. Pulikottil, the company’s Director/General Manager in Sri Lanka said: “This new value addition to our consumers will provide more ideas on how to select colours and to use them. This guide will give them the benefit of expert knowledge of professional decorators on emerging trends world-wide.”

The Book has been developed and printed in India where the company is headquartered.

This colour guide is for Asian Paints’ Royale Luxury Emulsions an exquisite range of emulsion paints that provide a luxurious finish and a silky glowing appearance to walls. Its unique Perfect Finish™ technology includes features such as stain resistance, greater strength and anti fungal properties.  Royale Luxury Emulsion paint is available through Asian Paints’ ColourWorld outlets, the only fully automated paint dispensing platform in Sri Lanka. These outlets offer a large range of shades and provide customers a choice of multiple brands from a single dispenser.

Asian Paints recently introduced its first ‘Colour Ideas’ store in Sri Lanka, a new-concept paint retail outlet that focuses on colour as an idea rather than a product. Asian Paints Lanka was the first overseas acquisition of Asian Paints, one of India’s most respected multinationals with international operations in 22 countries.
