The use of colour on the exteriors of buildings to express personality has been made easier by Asian Paints (Lanka) Limited, with the launch of a new colour guide designed exclusively for the purpose.
Titled ‘Imagine Exteriors,’ the new guide presents 60 selected colour combinations in the form of images of exteriors of homes instead of the customary shade card, making visualisation and decision making more interesting.
Designed to showcase the company’s ‘Apex Ultima’ weather-proof exterior emulsion, the new guide in the handy size of a ‘monitor’s’ exercise book, is a sequel to the hugely popular Asian Paints combinations guide for interiors released by the company in June last year.
Joseph L. Pulikottil, Asian Paints’ Director/General Manager in Sri Lanka said: “Using this new guide makes the process of choosing colours fun. A user simply picks his or her favourite colour and turn to that section to see the different possible combinations.”
The new guide is divided in to five sections, featuring different colour families – red, yellow-beige, green, blue and white.
It illustrates several eye-catching combinations for each colour family with each combination comprising of two to four shades. High quality photographs of exteriors of actual houses painted in the respective combinations, gives the user a realistic visual of the effect of the combination.
The company says the colours used in this guide were selected by architects and designers to ensure that they suit different architectural styles.
The guide also provides information on Asian Paints’ full exterior products range – Apex Ultima, Apex, ACE, Exterior Sealers, AP SEAL – WB, AP SEAL SB, AP Wall Fill and exterior wall putty.
All emulsion paints referred to in the guide are available through Asian Paints’ ColourWorld outlets, the only fully automated paint dispensing platform in Sri Lanka.
These outlets offer a large range of shades and provide customers a choice of multiple brands from a single dispenser.
Asian Paints Lanka was the first overseas acquisition of Asian Paints, one of India’s most respected multinationals with international operations in 22 countries.
