Arpico Supercentres offers an unforgettable holiday for privilege card owners

Arpico Supercentre, Sri Lanka’s leading chain of hypermalls, in living up to its brand promise of delivering ‘Fresh Ideas Every Day,’ offered an exclusive weekend for the third consecutive year for its ‘Privilege’ cardholders recently.



Arpico Supercentre launched its ‘Arpico Privilege Family Beach Holiday’ as a means of provide more benefits to its loyal customers. 50 lucky ‘Privilege’ members and their families were rewarded from a raffle draw with a two day stay in the lap of luxury at Club Bentota on 1 September, an all-expense paid beach holiday of unlimited fun and entertainment.  

This promotion was open to all Arpico Privilege loyalty card members and continued until 15 August 2012. This particular fresh idea effectively saw Arpico Supercentre taking its customer relationships to a whole new level, by rewarding its most imperative shoppers for their loyalty and trust in the brand.

 Through a simple entry requirement, where Privilege cardholders had to purchase goods for a value of over Rs. 3,000 including three nominated products at any of the Arpico Supercentres, 50 ‘Privilege’ cardholders were selected for this memorable holiday, whilst ‘Gold’ cardholders received an additional coupon for the same value of purchase.

This year’s nominated brands were Vim, Clogard, Ceylonta, Enchanteur, Dettol, Baby Cheramy, Comfort, Celcius and Dove. Shoppers who did not have a ‘Privilege’ card could also sign up for a card at any time from any of the Supercentres instantly and join the competition.

This year’s edition saw 50 families taking part in the Privilege Family Beach Holiday and was spent most memorably, abundant with engaging and fun-filled activities including games, beach sports, dance acts and giveaways for all present.

Moreover, in keeping with the spirit of rewarding, no exceptions were made with many surprises and special offers up for grabs for all ‘Privilege’ members alike, during the promotional period.

What’s more, during the Arpico Privilege Family Beach Holiday Campaign from 1 July to 15 August 2012, upon purchase of another Rs. 2000 or more, customers received an ‘Arpico Privilege Deals’ magazine which contained a host of exciting discounts and coupons from a number of partner outlets such as hotels, restaurants, salons, jewelry, clothing, electronic items, furniture, automobile, financial services, etc.

All they had to do was to hand over the discount vouchers together with the Arpico Privilege Card and enjoy unlimited benefits. ‘Silver’ members received a booklet once they purchased goods worth Rs. 5,000 or more and ‘Gold’ members received their magazine via mail. The magazine also included products to look out for containing bonus Privilege points that offered customers the chance of becoming a Gold member.

Some products carried more than 1,500 bonus Privilege points. There were more than 100 products that offered bonus points. The bonus points offers also gave Silver members the opportunity to earn 2,500 points in a shorter period to qualify for a Gold status, which will lead to additional benefits.

Many have seen the value of the Arpico, which is evident from the staggering number of enrolments for the Arpico Privilege card and the membership exceeded 240,000 during a very short period of time.
