Arpico Rubber Products LTD, a subsidiary of Richard Peiris and company PLC, conducted a training program for stakeholders involved in the printing industry pertaining to enhancing print quality in keeping abreast with the latest development and techniques used around the world in printing.
The program was conducted by INGRIN – the Institute of Printing and Graphic Sri Lanka –the premier training institute in the printing industry. This program was yet another CSR initiative of the RPC group and was held at the Richard Peiris and Company auditorium located in Nawinna, with over 150 associates representing the cross-section of the printing industry.
At the inauguration of the training program, Sunil Liyanage, Managing Director, Local Manufacturing and Distribution Sector of Richard Peiris and Company, stated, “Arpico Rubber, which is a subsidiary of Richard Peiris and Company, is the market leader in providing high quality rubber rollers needed for the printing industry in the country.
“Our high involvement in the printing industry made us realise that it’s our responsibility to update the printers about the need to improve print quality and optimise profits, while adapting to the changes taking place globally in the printing industry. Therefore we made this initiative a CSR program which we think will benefit the development of the entire printing industry as a whole.”
He added that to ensure the quality of the program, they joined hands with INGRIN, which could be regarded as the premier training institution for printing industry in the country. “Our vision is to conduct this program to cover all printing organisations on the island.”
Arpico rubber rollers are manufactured to suit all roller requirements for printing such as offset, laminating, metal, polythene, flexor, UV and label printing machines.
