The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) launched ‘Arogya 2012 – International Healthcare Exhibition and Medical Symposium’ on 9 February 2012 at Hotel Galadari, Ballroom B.
The three-day mega exhibition will be held from 17 to 19 August 2012 at the BMICH.
Concurrent to the exhibition, a Medical Symposium will be held. Special topics related to the medical sector will be discussed by world renowned speakers from overseas.
The main objectives of the exhibition are to create awareness among the public on the high standards of Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector, promote Sri Lanka as a health hub in the region and promote medical tourism, to create awareness of advanced treatments, new products and services/methods among the general public, professionals, students and overseas visitors, to educate the local business community on the opportunities available for exports and imports of medical related products and services and to provide a common platform for buyers, sellers and investors in the healthcare sector.
This year’s exhibitor profile includes pharmaceuticals, medical equipments, appliances and consumables, hospitals and clinics, laboratory services, health and IT, health professionals, education, health insurance, health and manpower, leisure, sports, tourism , physiotherapy and beauty care and health sector special projects managed by the Government and NGOs.
About 125 local and foreign companies from Asian and Western countries are expected to participate, including professionals in the health sector including doctors, nurses, pharmacists, physiotherapists, dentists, medical practitioners, researchers, scientists, local and international healthcare service providers, local and international buyers and sellers, academics and students, investors, local and overseas (foreign delegations) and the general public.
