One of the key mantras behind Anything.lk’s operations so far has been ‘listen to the customers.’ Staying true to that, Anything.lk has launched many new services and features with regards to its deals over the last six months.

Monday, 5 December saw the launch of yet another feature, the Anything.lk retail store.

The Anything.lk retail store or “store”, as it is simply known on the website, will focus completely on consumer goods.

Head of Business Development at Anything.lk Jeggan Rajendram explained, “Our customers have been asking for our offers to stay up on the site for longer, but the nature of the fabulous 50% off deals is that they are time-bound.  The store was our reaction to those comments.”

He added, “In the Store, consumers will find many of our clients’ products and some that Anything.lk will source directly. We’ve set up the store and our item sourcing in such a way that Anything.lk can offer the consumer an exclusive deal, either through a better price, value or simply just by making supplies accessible.

By displaying items for a longer period of time than an item on the deals site, the customers have a little more time to decide and make the purchase. So rather than us telling the customer that this is the best price, they can look around the other shops and arrive at that conclusion themselves.  We are very proud of the fact that we have managed to arrange island-wide delivery of any item bought in the Store.  In most cases we are happy to provide delivery free anywhere in the island.”

Meanwhile, CEO of Anything.lk, Reeza Zarook said, “Lateral expansion was on the cards from day one. However, we’ve arrived at that point sooner than we thought.

The success of the Anything.lk Daily Deals site has been great and in terms of social media marketing we’re sailing in unchartered territory.

The phenomenal growth we’ve experienced has surprised even our foreign shareholders with the response of the Sri Lankan consumer and we are lucky to have such an experienced board who have helped us seize new opportunities.

This has enabled us to launch the first of our expansions within six months of launching the main business.

The store is all about offering everyday items like steam irons or rice cookers at the best possible price and with island-wide delivery.”
