Amunugama promotes business co-operation with Japan

Invited to represent the Government, Dr. Sarath Amunugama delivered the Congratulatory Address at the opening ceremony of the 16th joint committee meeting of Sri Lanka-Japan and Japan-Sri Lanka Business Co-operation Committees and addressed the gathering on “Review of Economic Situation of Sri Lanka & Japan – “Sri Lanka bilateral relationship”.

These meetings are held as a part of the Committee’s efforts to promote Japanese investment in Sri Lanka and bilateral trade, tourism and services between the two countries. The meetings are co-ordinated by the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Tokyo and the Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka.

Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda, the Ambassador for Sri Lanka in Japan who was on the panel of speakers at the sessions also promoted Sri Lanka and its potential as the “Wonder of Asia” based on the President’s Economic Policy in Sri Lanka and bilateral economy.
