The Royal Thai Embassy in Sri Lanka organised a business trip for the members of the Sri Lanka-Thailand Business Council to visit Thailand on 16-17 February in order to promote and enhance trade and investment relations between Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Ambassador of Thailand to Sri Lanka Nopporn Adchari-yavanich led the delegation of 10 Sri Lankan businessmen who are interested in doing business with Thailand in various fields, namely education, medical service, tourism, hotel supply and amenity, construction materials, food and fruit products, exhibition organising, fisheries and used cars to meet with the Thai counterparts in Bangkok.
The Sri Lankan businessmen also met with the high ranking officials of Thailand, namely, Deputy Secretary-General of the Board of Investment Thailand, Deputy Director-General of the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce, as well as the Vice Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries.
This business trip ended with a successful outcome. Many meetings will lead to business deals which could increase trade and investment volumes between the two countries.
