Amana Bank launches Ladies Savings Account

With the aim of providing an opportunity for women to manage their finances effectively and efficiently, Amana Bank has introduced ‘Amana Bank Ladies Savings Account’ targeting the female population of the country. The Ladies Savings Account will provide a host of privileges along with a higher profit sharing ratio on the available balance. Speaking on this new account launch Amana Bank’s Vice President Consumer Banking and Marketing Siddeeque Akbar said, “Ladies play a pivotal role in shaping a family and society as a mother, a wife, a professional or an entrepreneur. As a tribute to this role model we are happy to introduce a Savings Account exclusive to Ladies, which comes with many customised benefits.” Having previously recognised the banking needs of ladies, Amana Bank was the first bank in Sri Lanka to have a dedicated branch catering exclusively for ladies. The introduction of the Ladies Savings Account is an extension of the Bank’s value proposition for ladies. Commenting on this the Ladies’ Branch Manager J.B. Ashraff said, “This is a very special moment for the Bank as we introduce an exclusive savings product catering to the growing needs of ladies. I am sure the market will wholeheartedly accept this new account.” The Ladies Savings Account can be opened with a minimum deposit of Rs. 1,000 at any of Amana Bank’s 23 branches located island wide or through the Bank’s exclusive ladies’ branch in Kollupitiya or exclusive ladies’ units at selected branches. The Ladies Saving Account holders will enjoy other benefits such as a special introductory gift upon opening the account, Rs. 500 pre-loaded balance for every Children’s Savings Account introduced by the account holder, entitlement for quarterly raffle draws and discounts offers, which makes Amana Bank Ladies Savings a very attractive proposition for ladies. The account holders will also receive a special identification card along with a Ladies Savings Account Passbook.
