The Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) appointed Alumex, one of Sri Lanka’s leading manufacturers of aluminium profiles, as the institute’s Strategic Sponsor for 2011/12. At a special ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the SLIA and Alumex.
The agreement was signed by Archt. Ranjan Nadesapillai, President of the SLIA and Pramuk Dediwela, Director/General Manager of Alumex as well as other members of the SLIA and representatives of Alumex. SLIA enters into Strategic Partnerships with companies of repute based in Sri Lanka, manufacturing building materials of high standards and quality acceptable to international guidelines.
This association, with SLIA will provide a unique opportunity to Alumex to reach the general public as a company that manufactures high quality Aluminium products. Alumex was SLIA’s Strategic Partner last year too.
As SLIA’s Strategic Sponsor, Alumex will be the principal sponsor of the Institute’s annual event, the Architect 2012, which will include the National Conference, Members Work and Trade Exhibition to be held at the BMICH from 22 to 26 February 2012.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Archt. Ranjan Nadesapillai, President of the SLIA said, “I am happy to say that our partnership with Alumex last year was a rewarding experience and I look forward to continuing this advantageous alliance that has not only benefited both parties but also the profession, industry and the general public.” Pramuk Dediwela, Director/General Manager of Alumex expressed his gratitude for the opportunity given to continue working with SLIA. “SLIA is a reputed organisation of architects and its event, Architect 2012, is a good opportunity to promote the brand Alumex among the most relevant segment of society – architects,” said Tissa Jayatilaka, Group Marketing Manager, Alumex. “We are an organisation that wants to develop local industries – we are a 100 percent Sri Lankan company.”
