ACCA Sri Lanka, recently awarded the Gold approved employer status to Tellida ( Pvt) Ltd, a BPO venture that provides finance and accounting services to address accounting and bookkeeping requirements to many prestigious overseas corporations. This is yet another milestone to the accomplishment by ACCA, who has been constantly adding high performing organisations to its bucket of approved employers , to compete in the fast growing market of ACCA professionals. ACCA Sri Lanka Head Nilusha Ranasinghe and Tellida Director and CEO Omar Fatha Rally were present at the occasion.
The ACCA Approved Employer scheme is a 360 degree solution for recruitment, retention and development of accounting and finance professionals, who not only come with an in-depth knowledge and skill background but also deliver to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics. This recognition from ACCA comes at a time when organisations are increasingly focusing and investing on the professional development of human resources and these additions will bring more options for ACCA trainees.
The Gold Approved Employer is a prestigious title endowed by ACCA to appreciate the unwavering commitment of an organisation towards development of ACCA professionals. This is proof of Tellida’s continuous strife towards establishing best practices and international standards in internal and external operational processes of the organisation.
Tellida will now gain access to specialised services and knowledge through ACCA’s various products, specifically customised for approved employers.
The added benefit for trainees who work for an Approved Employer who are either gold or platinum level are, that they are automatically eligible for an exemption from the requirement to complete a (TDM) as part of ACCA’s practical experience requirements .
Speaking at the occasion Ranasinghe reiterated that ACCA seeks to work closely with approved employers for the progression of ACCA trainees in particular and the accountancy profession at large. She further emphasised that ACCA and Tellida will work in conjunction to add value to its finance function and inculcate the right skill set of innovation and expertise in its employees.
She further emphasised that, “The evolution of shared services and outsourcing has implications and opportunities for ACCA students and members throughout the world. As the global body for professional accountants, our students and members are well placed in bringing their skills to bear in supporting future world class finance functions, and our qualification is designed to equip future generations of finance professionals across the whole of the finance enterprise with the capabilities that will be needed.”
