Uber Eats launches insurance program for delivery partners in Sri Lanka

Uber Eats announced a comprehensive insurance program for delivery partners in Sri Lanka. Launched in partnership with Allianz Insurance Lanka Ltd., one of the leading private sector general insurance companies in Sri Lanka, this insurance program provides a safety net for their growing community of delivery partners, when they are on the road, delivering orders through the Uber Eats platform.  

This unique insurance program insures Uber Eats delivery partners when they are online and on the road providing delivery services through the Uber Eats App for up to Rs. 500,000 against accidental death and partial or permanent disability, and up to Rs. 200,000 for medical hospitalisation expenses and outpatient cover resulting from an accident. 

Delivery partners are covered right from their first order on the Uber Eats App. This unique insurance cover will be offered at no cost to delivery partners, giving them peace of mind, while enjoying the flexibility of independent earning opportunity as Uber Eats delivery partners.

The insurance cover under this program is LIVE from 11 February.
