Evergreen Tea Factory
At the Colombo Tea Auction held on 6 and 7 September in the Low Grown sector, two lines from Golden Garden and Brombil estate achieved a record of Rs. 2,900 per kg each for BOPFSP grade. Teas were purchased by LOLC Holdings PLC and Akbar Brothers Ltd. respectively.
Both estates belong to Evergreen Group led by Aruna de Silva.
Golden Garden teas are manufactured at Evergreen Tea Factory located in Talgaswela of the Galle district. Golden Garden teas are well known for their excellent quality teas and held the previous record for BOPFSP grade.
This factory is managed by Director Dr. Indika Nallaperuma, Director Senal de Silva, General Manager Lasantha Alwis, Production Manager P.A. Saman Buddika and Factory Manager W.P. Susantha.
Brombil Tea Factory is managed by Director Dr. Indika Nallapperuma, Director Senal de Silva, Manager Tyron Rathnayake, Production Manager Aruna Edirisooriya and Factory Officer Chamil Ruchira.
Teas were successfully marketed by Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC.
Dickwella once again equal to its own record
In the Uva Medium category, Dickwella Estate Hali Ela sold a line of BOPFSP at a price of Rs. 2,700 per kg, equal to its own record for this grade.
Dickwella estate is part of Malwatte Valley Plantations PLC. This estate is managed by Regional Manager Chaminda Perera and the factory is under the supervision of Master Tea Maker A.M. Shajahan.
This tea was purchased by Inter Tea Ltd. and successfully marketed by Asia Siyaka Commodities PLC.

Dickwella Tea Factory
