Acclivity Training announced that a seminar on ‘Legal Aspects of Business, Corporate Governance and Employment Regulations’ will be held on Thursday 11 October at Cinnamon Lakeside from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as a continuation of the seminar series on ‘Essential Business Skills for Managers by Industry Experts’.
A spokesperson from Acclivity Training said that the series was designed for middle level managers to give them the all-round knowledge of business skills.
These sessions will be led by Tokyo Cement Chairman Dr. Harsha Cabral (PC), Management Systems Ltd. Chairman Asite Talwatte and Employers’ Federation of Ceylon Director General Kanishka Weerasinghe respectively.
At this session participants will be able to learn and understand principles of law in the business environment, including the rights and liabilities of the individual and the business person, laws on intellectual property, ethics in the business environment and Corporate Social Responsibility both in Sri Lankan and global context. The session will also deal with employment regulations that are essential in running a business.
The seminar series, in keeping with its objective of providing all round skills to managers includes sessions on corporate finance and taxation, legal aspects, employment regulations, corporate governance, the Sri Lankan economy, banking and capital markets, in addition to the above.
