Selmo Ltd., was the recipient of the coveted Lanka Star Gold Award and Lanka Star President’s Award at the recently-concluded Lanka Star Awards 2019. Lanka Star Awards is country’s premier award show that recognises and felicitates excellence in the packaging industry and is organised annually by Sri Lanka Institute of Packaging and the Packaging Development Centre. The glamorous night held at the Kingsbury, Colombo, was graced by special invitees, industry professionals and other distinguished guests.
Selmo Ltd. won one of the only two Gold Awards presented that night, for company’s design and manufacturing of the 300ml bottle for ‘Thambili’, the organic king coconut water product of Pristine Kokos Ltd. The judging criterion was stringent, placing emphasis on multiple aspects such as innovation, effectiveness and design etc. The eminent judging panel consisted of reputed local and international industry veterans. Selmo also scored the highest points among all entries to clinch the Lanka Star President’s Award, a feat that bore testimony to the company’s superior capacity.
