The General Assembly of the Federation of European Screen Printing Associations will be held from 29-30 September at Colombo Hilton.

President Christian Duyckaerts, General Secretary Sean Holt and CEO Neil Felton with the other council members are in Colombo for the General Assembly. The total number of delegates is 83.

The objectives of the federation, formed in 1961, are the sharing of knowledge of screen printing, the establishment of close cooperation between screen printers, digital-wide format printers and suppliers and promotion.  The FESPA Council comprises delegates of the affiliated national associations. It later expanded internationally to countries such as Japan, Korea, Australia, China, India and Nepal. The Sri Lanka Association of Printers SLAP is also a member. FESPA has invested millions of euros in developing the printing industry throughout the world and funded the completion of the first floor of the Print Media Academy affiliated to SLAP in Thalahena, Malabe. The exco members of FESPA will dedicate the new facility for skill development of the local industry on 30 September.
