Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) Chairman Capt. Nihal Keppetipola participated at a meeting with Ceylon Association of Shipping Agencies (CASA) at its headquarters in Colombo-7 on 3 November.
This is the first-ever instance a SLPA/CASA meeting was held in the CASA building. Traditionally, since the 1940s, these meetings have been held at the Port Chairman’s boardroom.
CASA Chairperson Shehara De Silva, along with Ex. Co members Shano Sabar, Janesh Rathnadasa, Iqram Cuttilan and Secretary General Ralph Anandappa were present. The discussions were based on current and future port development projects, other matters pertaining to port operations, navigation, logistics, finance and IT.
CASA Chairperson and the senior office bearers appreciated and thanked the Port Chief for the courtesy visit to their office and holding this cordial and fruitful discussion.
