The Sri Lanka Retailers’ Association (SLRA), with a vision of ‘Driving Retail Excellence’ will hold the nation’s premier retail sector knowledge event – Sri Lanka Retail Forum (SLRF) 2018 ‘Towards a Dynamic and Evolving Retail Sector’.
Over 300 retail industry professionals have signed up to attend the retail forum, and registration for the event will close tomorrow, 16 October.
The Forum will kick off this week at Cinnamon Grand Colombo, with the inauguration and networking with industry leaders taking place on Wednesday, 17 October, followed by a full-day forum on Thursday, 18 October.
Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Senior Partner and Director Abheek Singhi is the esteemed personality to open the forum as the keynote speaker for SLRF 2018.
BCG is one of the most globally prestigious management consulting multinational firms with more than 90 offices in 50 countries. Abheek leads the BCG’s Consumer practice in Asia-Pacific, and is seasoned by experience ranging across all retail segments – from grocery to fashion – all across the globe. He was named a BCG Fellow in 2015; his fellowship is examining how digital and other technologies can provide leapfrog opportunities in emerging markets.
SLRF 2018 has a further 18 resource persons lined up, nine of which are foreign experts who are presently in the regional retail conference circuit and seasoned in the global retail ecosystem. They will share their acumens and lead deep-dive discussions centred around four thematic sessions – 1. Reshaping Customer Engagement, 2. Driving Tomorrow’s Retail Today, 3. New Models Challenging the Status-Quo: Brands-Culture-Sustainability, 4. Where is Retail in the Region Heading?
