PickMe Food, the latest venture of PickMe, Sri Lanka’s own technology-driven mobility solutions provider, launched their services in the city of Kandy. PickMe has already established a strong presence in Kandy with its ride-sharing services. PickMe Food has been successfully catering to restaurants and customers in Colombo and its suburbs covering Nugegoda, Moratuwa, Ratmalana, Dehiwela – Mount Lavinia and lately Rajagiriya and Kotte. PickMe Food’s arrival in Kandy comes at an opportune moment created in the backdrop of citizens’ reliance on PickMe for ride-sharing and on-demand taxi hailing services, as well as trend set by few restaurants in the city that already use
PickMe vehicles to deliver food.
“PickMe Food is a home-grown, Sri Lankan start-up looking to revolutionise the food and beverage industry of our country, especially during these difficult times. While we are establishing ourselves in Colombo, we wanted to make sure that Sri Lankans who are not living in the capital also have the same great experience of getting their food delivered conveniently through PickMe Food,” commented PickMe Food Head of Operations Mevan Peiris.
PickMe Food is increasingly offering consumers convenience and choice, changing their lifestyle and saving time. PickMe Food is on a journey to revolutionise the Sri Lankan food industry, creating incremental value for restaurants, supporting home cooks and smaller restaurants through technology. Moreover, this latest venture by PickMe has begun to create an entirely new set of employment opportunities to Sri Lankans by offering flexible work for Delivery Partners (Riders). PickMe’s parent company Digital Mobility Solutions Lanka Ltd. aims to revolutionise the mobility sector in Sri Lanka via technology, and has been successfully doing so since 2015 through their taxi hailing platform and now with PickMe food.
“The fact that PickMe hailing is already quite well-known in the city of Kandy will help us immensely in creating incremental business for the F&B outlets, since we already have a large base of active users on the PickMe platform in Kandy alone,” revealed PickMe Chief Operating Officer Isira Perera.
PickMe food delivery partners are being recruited daily at the PickMe Kandy Branch and more information can be obtained by calling 0114507588.
