Petform MD Perinpam Mathytharan receiving the award
Petform Ltd., a forerunner in the plastics and paper-based packaging sector, bagged two coveted awards at the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ awards ceremony organised by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industries Sri Lanka (FCCISL).
Petform won a Silver award in the extra-large category at the National level and a Gold award in the extra-large category at the Western Provincial level. The flagship event of FCCISL, which has helped many Sri Lankan entrepreneurs reach global standards in terms of productivity and value creation, was recently held at the BMICH with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa gracing the occasion as Chief Guest.
“The secret behind this achievement is none other than our hard work and dedication to maintain high standards in all our products as the top priority. I appreciate the wholehearted dedication of our indefatigable team while thanking our customers who have continued to place unchanged trust in our products’’ said Petform Managing Director Perinpam Mathytharan.
With its four factories strategically located around Delgoda and Malwana, and a work force exceeding 200, Petform has seen tremendous success over the years. The company exports products to the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia and Maldives. Petform’s product portfolio ranges from packaging materials, plastic bottles and lids to paper-based cups and plates. The company has been accredited with ISO 9001:2015 and SLS 1336 certification. Meanwhile, food security regulatory standards have been upgraded to obtain ISO 22000.
Having started as a small factory at Malwana in 2004, Petform has come a long way to become the giant in providing total packaging solutions in Sri Lanka. Providing a packaging solution that gives a better look to the packed items while keeping its freshness intact is a distinct feature of Petform’s solutions. Another specialty is the fact that each packaging solution is made with recycled materials in line with the concept of green products. In another step forward, the company has introduced packaging solutions with HDPE materials for specific requirements in pharmaceutical, fuel, agrochemicals, and pesticide manufacturing industries.
