PUCSL promotes better customer service

The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL), yesterday said it has launched a countrywide discussion series to provide better customer service to electricity consumers.  

Releasing a statement the power regulator said a discussion series with the officials of Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and Lanka Electricity Company Ltd. (LECO) had been started to collectively improve the implementation process of consumer service guidelines and finds ways and means to overcome the barriers in order to provide a better customer service to the electricity consumers in Sri Lanka.

PUCSL plans to cover all the nine provinces with the discussion series where PUCSL aware and discuss 15 consumer guidelines that are beneficial for electricity consumer, issues with regard to the implementation and plans to find ways and means to implement and improve it together with CEB and LECO.

The first discussion was successfully held in Southern Province (Galle, Matara and Hambantota) on 10 March with the active participation of more than 100 officials from CEB and LECO.

The next discussion will be held in Anuradhapura end March with the participation of officials from CEB and LECO in the North Central Province.
