The seventh edition of the continuous development initiative by the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) will be streamed live on the 10 June (Thursday) at 6:00 p.m. on the PIM Facebook platform featuring two prominent alumni members specialising in marketing and branding.
Given the proliferation of brands in Sri Lanka and worldwide and changing customer behaviours, the time has dawned for marketers to rethink their approach. From the onset, many aspects were mis-thought due to myopia. It was incorrectly assumed that people would order less. It was incorrectly assumed that people would cut back on certain luxuries. This shows how disconnected some of the thinking truly was.
On the branding front, some brands emerged successfully and stronger from the pandemic than the rest. The seventh PIM Monthly Montage aims to decipher the secret sauce behind some of those brands with lessons that marketers and brand managers could utilise in their decision making.
The panellists are veterans in the regional marketing and brand development sphere; and additionally, are active in the promotion of good marketing and branding practices among the Sri Lankan corporate sector.
The forum is open for the students as well as the public to join and listen to the key insights shared and ask any questions they wish to clarify. The forum will be moderated by PIM Senior Lecturer Tharindu Ameresekere.
