Outward Bound – Sri Lanka (OBTSL) nominated three of its senior trainers to undergo the 21-day Classic Course on enhanced Safety Procedures, organised and conducted by Outward Bound Singapore and Malaysia from 13 March to 2 April 2017 and during 1 to 21 December 2017 conducted by Outward Bound Singapore.

All three of them have successfully completed the program, participating in all activities including sea/water-based activities.

OBTSL also organised a Training of Trainers Program called ‘Technical and Safety Skills Refresher Course’. This was conducted by trainers from Outward Bound Malaysia – Lumut.

Yasid Saud – Head of Training and Development and Mohamed Nayan – Technical Expert conducted the program during 15 to 18 January.

This is an ongoing art of Outward Bound Sri Lanka’s commitment to the highest standards of participant safety. This is of particular importance due to recent unfortunate incidents which occurred on a so-called Leadership Training course conducted by another service provider.
