The Department of Labour on Monday launched Sri Lanka’s first ever national policy on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the 5th National Occupational Safety and Health Symposium 2023. The policy aimed at streamlining, standardising and regulating the proper use of PPE was presented to Labour and Foreign Employment Minister Manusha Nanayakkara.
The full day symposium was organised by the Workplace Safety and Health Association in collaboration with the Department of Labour. International and local experts shared key insights to a range of issues under the theme “Adapting to a changing world”.
