Continuing its quest of adding value to the brilliant minds making decisions in Sri Lanka as the nation’s management mentor, the Post Graduate Institute of Management is all set to host the fourth edition of the of the PIM Monthly Montage, the online discussion series.
This time the focus will be on ‘Leadership in the new normal’. In fact, the modern business world is characterised by the term VUCA, (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous). With regular disruptions to business as usual being a pertinent challenge in the new normal, leaders too need to adapt to the new nature of the business environment. They also need to adopt new strategies in enhance competitiveness.
The event will be held on 4 March from 6 to 7 p.m. on Zoom and be broadcasted via the Facebook page of PIM and those interested could register via Zoom and join the meeting directly for better engagement and interaction with the panellists.
As always PIM intends to bring the best of academic excellence and industry experiences and this session is no different to the former. The panellists will be Professor Ajantha Dharmasiri, the Director of PIM, an author, a much sought-after speaker specialising in leadership and HRM related disciplines. He also advises and guides multiple organisations as an expert in his domain.
From the corporate sector, the guest is a legend by himself in the Sri Lanka business landscape, a popular speaker who has been invited to deliver keynotes in leading management and leadership conferences in the region, Ravi Jayawardena, Group CEO at Maliban Group. It is also a source of great pride for PIM to recognise Jayawardena as a distinguished product of PIM. Analysing his immense contribution to the professional world and the society, the Postgraduate Institute of Management Alumina (PIMA) awarded the prestigious ‘Platinum Honours’ to Jayawardena in 2014.
The session will be moderated by Tharindu Ameresekere, a senior lecturer at PIM.
