A high level delegation from Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) visited the Hambantota International Port (HIP), to get first-hand information on a wide range of subjects relating to port activity and the economy of the Southern part of Sri Lanka.
MOFA Foreign Policy Bureau Deputy Director Hamada Takashi and MOFA Policy Coordination Division Assistant Director Nakada Taihaku, led the delegation that met Hambantota International Port Services (HIPS) CEO Captain Ravi Jayawickreme, Commercial and Marketing Senior AGM Bindu Ranasinghe, and Port Investment Services AGM Lalith Ekanayake.
The delegation was briefed on current developments and the Port’s business model.
