George Steuart Teas ‘Rosa Kahata Avurudhakata Thea Vasi’ promotion successfully concluded with over 8,000 entries been received across the country. The promotion was launched island-wide during the last quarter of 2020 in a bid to reward its loyal consumers with a host of prizes.
The prizes included Rosa Kahata tea for a whole year, TVs, washing machines, mobile phones and blenders. Consumers who purchase 100g/200g packs of Rosa Kahata were able to participate. As a part of announcing the promotion and giving more opportunities for consumers to win additional gifts the Rosa Kahata Thea Vasi truck visited key towns across the island. At each location consumers were able to purchase a pack of Rosa Kahata and instantly be able to participate in the grand draw along with the ability to participate in a number of competitions at the location where they were able to win a host of exciting gifts by trying their luck at the wheel of fortune.
George Steuarts & Co. Chief Executive Officer – Consumer Paddy Weerasekera said, “We are pleased to have concluded the island-wide promotion successfully. It was a challenging task no doubt to have managed a promotion of this magnitude during a difficult period where the sentiments were not the best and in addition, we had to curtail a lot of ground level activity which would have enabled us to interact more with our consumers. However, our team was determined to reward our loyal customers and reassure our brand’s commitment.”
Today the Steuarts Tea brand is very popular among regular tea drinkers locally and internationally where it’s exported to over 50 countries. Locally the Steuarts BOPF Premium tea, Rosa Kahata, Steuarts Natural Ginger Tea and Steuarts Green Tea is sold in most retail outlets and supermarkets across the island.
