Galpaditenne & Matuwagala tea factories establish all-time record prices

Galpaditenne (Suduwelipothahena) and Matuwagala tea factories situated in Ratnapura, managed by Saman Upasena, achieved all-time record prices at the weekly tea auction of 31 October, by securing an attractive price of Rs. 1,250 per kg for PEK1 grade and Rs. 1,200 per kg for OPA grade in the Low Grown category respectively.

The teas were purchased by Ceyem Commodities Ltd. and Qualitea Ceylon Ltd. respectively. The sale was conducted by Ceylon Tea Brokers Plc.
