The Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Forum will be held at the Jasmine Hall, BMICH on 15 December 2022 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The main discussion topics are Managing Project Risks in a Critical Economic Environment by Dr. Paulo Vaz-Serra and The Global Trends Towards Net Zero Tall Buildings by Prof. Priyan Mendis.
CTBUH is the world’s leading non-profit organisation for all those interested in the future of cities.
It explores how increased urban density and vertical growth can support more sustainable and healthy cities, especially in the face of mass urbanisation and the increasing effects of climate change worldwide. The relationship between policy, buildings, people, urban density, urban space, interior space, and infrastructure is considered to be the key.
Operating on a global scale, the CTBUH serves as a platform for both cutting-edge information sharing and business networking for all companies and professionals focused on the inception, design, construction, and operation of cities, and the buildings they comprise.
This would help to advance CTBUH mission towards a greater Sustainable Vertical Urbanism.
At the Forum, the Tall Building Guideline Book will also be launched by the Event Chair Engineer Shiromal Fernando. This is a guide which provides the main design standards, basis of design information, loadings and the respective materials associated with planning, creating and living with tall buildings.
