FACETS Sri Lanka, the premier gem and jewellery show, is all set to commence on 7 January.
Coming back from a two-year break post-COVID, FACETS Sri Lanka is one of the industry’s largest promotional events. The premium edition of this world-class gem and jewellery show will be held from 7-9 January at the Cinnamon Grand Colombo and will be open to visitors daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This exclusive edition of FACETS Sri Lanka is expected to be a high-profile and exclusive event showcasing a select few of the industry’s best exhibitors. The premium edition will showcase an array of some of the country’s most vibrant and dazzling gemstones and jewellery. There will be exhibitors displaying coloured gemstones featuring the exclusive Ceylon Sapphire as well as some of the country’s exceptionally crafted semi-precious and precious jewellery.
Sri Lanka Gem and Jewellery Association has continuously promoted the FACETS Sri Lanka exhibition globally through social media platforms targeting European, Russian, Indian, Hong Kong, Chinese, Saudi Arabian, Turkish, Vietnamese, Thai and French markets. The event has been promoted extensively locally as well as through foreign diplomatic missions. Approximately 3,000 local and foreign visitors are expected to attend the event with an estimated 150 plus foreign buyers.
The timing of this event is crucial for the industry as well as the country, due to the current economic crisis the country has been facing. FACETS Sri Lanka will be welcoming a host of foreign buyers who will be visiting exclusively for the show increasing the much-needed Dollar income for the country. Launching this exclusive event at the beginning of the year will ensure FACETS Sri Lanka, the premier gem and jewellery show, regains its status in the global events calendar and sets the message to the world that Sri Lanka is opening up on a global scale regardless of the challenges they have been faced with. The association appreciates the support extended by the National Gem and Jewellery Authority and all other government organisations who have supported in obtaining much-needed foreign currency for the country.
