Enterprise Sri Lanka program to boost film industry

Based on a proposal submitted by the well-known film producer, director of MPI Film Circuit Chairman of Universal Media Network Ltd., and Cinelink Ltd., Dr. Arosha Fernando, recently the Cabinet approved the construction of 25 brand new movie theatres across Sri Lanka with the support of the Enterprise Sri Lanka program

“Six months of hard work, but I guess it’s fully worth working towards,” Dr. Arosha said. “I sincerely appreciate providing the required approvals and support from the National Film Corporation, Cultural Affairs Ministry, Finance Ministry, Treasury and finally the Cabinet for this proposal which will certainly help to take the local film industry to the next level especially in this difficult and challenging period of time,” he added.
