Sri Lanka’s legendary 155-year-old and favourite household consumer foods brand Elephant House has clinched two Gold awards along with a Special Award at the 28th annual NCE Export Awards 2020.

Having bravely navigated through the business waters, persevering hardships and new challenges such as the COVID crisis, Elephant House has securely established itself as one of the most recognised brands in the local and international arena. Winning Golds in the ‘Confectionary and Beverage Products Medium’ and in the ‘Processed Food Products Small’ categories was a testimony of the commitment and dedication Elephant House has towards their consumers. These recognitions are among the most recent in a long outstanding history of achievement where Elephant House has secured wins multiple times in many categories.
The Achievement of the Gold award for ‘Confectionary and Beverage Products’ in the medium category was a strong indicator of the popularity and demand Elephant House has established among the consumers across generations. Elephant House also won a Silver in the ‘Confectionary Products Medium’ category in 2019, whereby the win in 2020 shows that the brand has set a higher bar and excelled to achieve success. This is the third consecutive year that Elephant House has been recognised and awarded for this category.
Receiving the Special Award for ‘Best Performing Exporter in Emerging Markets’ was an honoured achievement as it highlighted Elephant House’s initiatives to take Sri Lanka into the global sphere and the brand’s strong ability to remain resilient in markets like the Maldives and Australia during the pandemic crisis.

Our existing presence in over 30 markets worldwide, including UK, Switzerland, France, Italy, UAE, Australia, India and the Maldives, and our most recent entry in to challenging markets such as Seychelles in 2020 have proven our capabilities,” commented Head of International Marketing Sudantha Victoria.
