Dankotuwa Porcelain wins big at NCE Export Awards 2020

Gold award for the large-scale manufacturing category in the ceramics and porcelain products sector was accepted by Dankotuwa Porcelain Chief Executive Officer Channa Gunawardana


  • Bagged Gold award in the large manufacturing category in the ceramic and porcelain product sector at the 28th Annual Export Awards 2020 

Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC, Sri Lanka’s premier manufacturer of porcelain tableware, recently announced that the Company was the recipient of the Gold award in the large-scale manufacturing category in the ceramics and porcelain products sector at the recently-concluded NCE Export Awards 2020. Awarded by the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE), Dankotuwa Porcelain won this award for the second consecutive year, a testament to its 37 years of rich heritage and plating of gastronomy in Sri Lanka and over the world. 

Commenting on this illustrious win, Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC Chief Executive Officer Channa Gunawardana stated, “It is with great pride that we acknowledge this accolade. The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) has been conducting the NCE Export Awards for the past 28 years with the objective of recognising and rewarding the excellence of Sri Lankan Exporters who have marked Sri Lanka’s presence in the international market arena through the manufacturing and marketing of local products to global standards. Evaluation of applicants and selection of award winners are usually conducted by a technical panel of professionals who bring in expertise and experiences from various industries related to exports. This year’s ceremony was conducted according to the norms of the ‘new normal’, taking into consideration COVID-19 guidelines and precautionary measures advised by the Government of Sri Lanka. SLT-Mobitel Chairman Rohan Fernando was the Guest of Honour at this prestigious event that was held at the Main Ballroom, Shangri-La Colombo.
