Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC was adjudged as Best Exporter in the Porcelain and Ceramic Category at the recently concluded Presidential Awards 2018/19.

Celebrating 23 years in recognising and rewarding the excellence of Sri Lankan exporters, the Sri Lanka Export Development Board continues a journey of recognising Sri Lankan exporters who contributed to the Sri Lankan economy. This year’s ceremony was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena while Minister of Housing, Construction and Cultural Affairs Premadasa was the Guest of Honour.
The event was organised by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board with expert advice of Minister for Development Strategies and International Trade Malik Samarawickrama and Deputy Minister for Development Strategies and International Trade Nalin Bandara Jayamaha.
This year’s award winners were selected under two categories; namely overall and product sector based. There were 14 overall awards and 42 sectoral category winners along with merit awards recognising both export products and services.
Dankotuwa Porcelain tableware is safe for all aspects of dining, as the raw materials used for white products are Lead (Pb) and Cadmium (Cd) safe and does not contain bone ash. The company has the unparalleled distinction of being the first tableware manufacturer in Sri Lanka to obtain the relevant ISO certification, thus maintaining high quality standards where products can be used in a microwave or a dishwasher.
