Correction on opinion article on SriLankan Airlines

My attention has been drawn to an article by “An Ex Sri Lankan Staff Member” in the Daily FT of Monday, 9 April, page 2, entitled: “SriLankan can only be resuscitated by Harry Jayawardena.” 

This article contains two blatant lies:

I was never a member of the Board of Directors of SriLankan Airlines.

I have never travelled on the Airline’s account.

Also, I would like to point out that the CEO of the Airline was selected through due process, by the Board of Directors. I had nothing to do with it. I do not normally contest false statements by people who write under pseudonyms, but the matters I have responded to contain blatant lies, which I cannot ignore. Please publish this response so that your readers will know the truth.
