The Annual Convention of the Indian Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association (IEEMA) was held on 22 September in Mumbai on the theme of ‘Make in India’ with the participation of the Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Anant Geete.
Saroja Sirisena, Consul General of Sri Lanka in Mumbai was invited as Guest Speaker at the event.
The Consul General highlighted the strength of Sri Lanka’s Electrical and Electronic Manufacturing sector and impressed upon the Indian counterparts that Sri Lanka’s advantages inter alia in terms of human capital, logistics and market access could be utilised in being part of global value chains.
IEEMA is the apex association of manufacturers of electrical, industrial electronics and allied equipment in India. Founded in 1948, IEEMA is the first ISO certified industry association in India with over 800 member organisations.
