The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) will conduct a seminar on ‘Comprehensive and in-depth Analysis of Recent Tax Reforms with Practical Applications’ on Friday 13 March from 8.30am – 12.30pm at the Taj Samudra. The focus of the seminar will highlight the important aspects of the recent tax reforms.
The welcome address will be delivered by CMA Sri Lanka President Prof. Lakshman R. Watawala and the seminar will be conducted by Amerasekera & Co, Chartered Accountants Tax Consultant / Senior Partner K. Sivanesan. In his presentations he will analyse the changes in Income Tax (including individual taxation), Value added Tax (VAT), Nation Building Tax (NBT), Economic Service Charge (ESC) and Debt Repayment Levy (DRL).
After his presentation there will be a panel discussion which will be moderated by KPMG Principal – Tax & Regulatory Suresh Perera and the panelists would be Head of Corporate Finance Executive Vice President Nisreen Rehmanjee, John Keells Holdings PLC Group Tax and Social Entrepreneurship Nishtar Sulaiman, Ernst & Young Partner N.R. Gajendran, Gajma & Co. Senior Partner, and Raigam Marketing Services Ltd. Managing Director Ganaka Amarasinghe. Participants will also have an opportunity to obtain clarifications and direct questions to the speaker and panelists.
