A delegation from the British High Commission recently visited the Hambantota Port and was welcomed by the port operator, Hambantota International Port Group (HIPG) — a company established as a public-private partnership between the Government of Sri Lanka and China Merchants Port Holdings Company Ltd. (CMPort) to develop the port.
