A total of nine Sri Lankan garment manufacturers will participate at the summer 2019 edition of Texworld/Apparel Sourcing and Home Textiles Sourcing next week in the US.
Ashok Garments, Jumeirah Lanka, JK Garments, Kash Garments, Nor Lanka Manufacturing, Queens Workwear, RM Holding, Sarasavi Exports and Stylish Garments will represent Sri Lanka at the exhibition from 22 to 24 July at the Javits Center. It is the second time that the Export Development Board (EDB) has organised a Sri Lankan Pavilion at this trade fair.
The US has been the leading buyer of Sri Lanka’s apparel exports over the years and it continued its lead even this year.
Over a span of three days, international suppliers from around the globe will showcase textiles, trims, accessories, manufacturing and private label development services and finished apparel for industry buyers, designers and experts.
A total of 837 exhibitors from 19 countries with co-located events represented and over 5,000 visitors participated in the July 2018 show.
The July 2019 edition welcomes ‘Fashionsustain’, a one-day conference originating in Berlin, Germany that is dedicated to educate attendees on sustainable practices. Kicking off the showcase, Fashionsustain will be held on 22 July.
Looking ahead for a better future, Fashionsustain devoted to revolutionise the fashion and textile industries’ processes and production mechanisms, through collaborations, new technologies, and applied innovation.
The next Texworld/Apparel Sourcing US will be held in June, 2020. Texworld/Apparel Sourcing Paris and Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics will be held in September, 2019, while African Sourcing and Fashion Week will be held in November 2019 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
