A four-day discourse on Bay of Bengal Economic Dialogue 2021 on ‘Post-COVID Challenges in the Bay of Bengal Region’ began yesterday via Zoom.
The event is organised by South Asian Network on Economic Modeling (SANEM). It is partnering with some leading research organisations and think- tanks in the region for this event, including ASEAN-India Center (AIC), RIS, India; SAWTEE, Nepal; Indian Studies Center (ISC) of Chulalongkorn University, Thailand; Pathfinder Foundation, Sri Lanka and Centre for Research on Bhutanese Society (CRBS), Bhutan.
South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment (SAWTEE) a discourse among policymakers, economists, academicians, and development experts of the Bay of Bengal region has become the need of the hour, hence the dialogue which will go on till 11 February.
The Bay of Bengal Economic Dialogue 2021 (BoBED2021) will create an opportunity for sharing ideas and insights on how countries, in this region, confronted the COVID-19 crisis and also on the need for the deeper regional integration among the countries of this region to tackle the post-COVID challenges.
