Bren Security Ltd., the Sri Lankan partner of the worldwide Securitas AB group, will host its innovative ‘Hard Talk’ event for the 11th time at 8 Degrees On The Lake, Cinnamon Lakeside on Thursday 5 November.

This year marks the 11th occasion that this event is being held under the Bern-Securitydistinguished patronage of Securitas Asia, Africa and Middle East Chief Operating Officer Kris Van den Briel, while it will be hosted by Bren Security Country President/CEO Major Tissa Aluwihare.

Hard Talk is an open forum discussion originated by and unique to Bren, wherein clients can express their frank views and feedback on service, be it positive, ambivalent or critical.

Over the past 23 years, Bren has come to be recognised as the premiere security company in Sri Lanka and the main security service provider to the diplomatic community. The only security company to institute a rigorous five tier operational control structure, Bren has innovative monitoring and control systems for heightened supervision of performance, including electronic audio/visual surveillance and 3rd generation combined technological/manned security solutions, rapid response capabilities backed by a 24 hour Ops Room, and well rounded multi tasking security officers who are well versed in fire fighting, first aid, mob control and covert in house investigations.

In line with the theme of the occasion, as always Bren has invited their most valued clients comprising distinguished members of the regulatory authorities, diplomatic fraternity from major Embassies, INGO’s and UN agencies as well as from the major conglomerates and corporate bodies in Sri Lanka, for a lively Hard Talk round table discussion.

The evening will commence on a lively note with a presentation by ‘House Of Wines’, an introduction on wine tasting which will whet the guests appetite for the more serious business of Hard Talk to follow later. This will be followed by Bren CEO and Sri Lanka Security Service Providers Association (SLASSPA) President Major Tissa Aluwihare, addressing the gathering on ‘Uplifting Sri Lanka’s Security Industry’; his take on how to create a win-win scenario for all the stakeholders concerned by uplifting the lot of the security guard and as a consequence, the quality of service. The highlight of the evening of course will be Hard Talk, the open forum, round table discussion where clients will voice their opinion on Bren’s services. The evening will end with a haute couture fashion show, which will showcase the award winning designs of the internationally acclaimed ‘Yoland Collection’.
